Transformer Tanks and Covers
Tanks are cooling units of transformers. These tanks and their covers are made of medium hard ST37 quality sheet metal. Tanks and covers are welded according to appropriate norms from thicknesses between 3 and 10 mm to withstand pressure and vacuum processes.
In distribution transformers, tank surfaces are composed of corrugated wall panels that also serve as cooler. Tanks are formed by welding the pan, corrugated wall and frame together. It is also possible to use radiator groups as a cooling surface, but of course, these radiators are generally used in power transformers.
Tanks and covers are made by combining the materials in accordance with the technical drawing and dimensions given by the customer and welding them in the desired way with appropriate norms. It can be produced as HERMETIC or with EXPANSION TANK according to customer demand. After the leaks in the leakage test are eliminated, the tanks are packaged and made ready for shipment.
